The Granville County Chamber of Commerce hosts three (3) Alive After 5 events each year to provide an opportunity for Chamber businesses to network and socialize with one another and with residents and visitors in the community. The event always features local musical artists, food vendors, beverage vendors, and dancing!

Alive After 5 events are held twice a year in Oxford and alternate annually between the City of Creedmoor and Town of Butner.  When the event is held in Creedmoor, VanNess Chevrolet usually hosts in their lot where attendees can mingle, have a clear view of the stage and the performing band, and have plenty of room for dancing.

Organizers need volunteers to help with the event each year. Volunteers will receive a commemorative t-shirt made available exclusively to event volunteers.  If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the Chamber of Commerce at (919) 693-6125.

Residents are encouraged to register for e-Notification to stay informed of event news and happenings in Creedmoor.  Visit the Events Calendar page to see the date for the next bi-annual Alive After 5 in Creedmoor.

CREEDMOOR POLICE DEPARTMENT HOSTS MARCH MAYHEM "BADGES VS VIKINGS"

March means one thing in North Carolina...BASKETBALL! The Creedmoor Police Department is excited to once again team up with South Granville High School to host the “Badges vs. Vikings” March Mayhem charity basketball tournament on Friday, March 22. Come out and support our local high school and law enforcement teams as they try to take the trophy away from the Granville County Sheriff’s Office.

Get in on the fun!  Try out your skills during the 3-point and dunk contests or enter to win one of two raffles: a 50/50 drawing cash or a PS5 digital gaming system.  All proceeds will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Concessions will be available, so come hungry. Doors open at 5:30pm and the competition begins at 6:00pm.  $5 admission fee for ages 5+.

“The Creedmoor Police Department is committed to supporting our extended commUNITY and March Mayhem is just another example. This event gives us the opportunity to partner with other law enforcement agencies alongside South Granville High School to support a worthy cause. Thank you to all our generous sponsors and everyone who made this event possible.” stated Creedmoor Police Chief Troy Wheless.

This year’s tournament will consist of teams featuring South Granville High School students, Creedmoor Police Department, Granville County Sheriff’s Office and Vance County Sheriff’s Office. The winner takes home the trophy, and of course bragging rights until next year!
