The City of Creedmoor recently completed three major projects and is undergoing planning and construction of Creedmoor Memorial Park adjacent the new Creedmoor Community Center.

  • Creedmoor Community Center. A renovation of the existing senior center and old high school gymnasium located at 108 E. Wilton Avenue along with the addition of a new 15,000 square foot gymnasium and elevated walking track.  A public bid opening took place February 21 where Harrod & Associates was selected as the lowest responsive/responsible bidder. The Board approved the construction contract and held a groundbreaking ceremony on April 12.  Construction began in June 2019 and the Creedmoor Community Center opened in April 2021.
  • Cross City Trail.  A public bid opening was held February 15, 2019 and the  Creedmoor Board of Commissioners adopted a resolution identifying Fred SmithIMG_3078 Company as the lowest responsive/responsible bidder at their February budget workshop.  NCDOT concurred with the selection of FSC, and the Creedmoor Board approved the construction contract along with a contract for Construction Engineering & Inspection services, at their April 8 meeting.  Construction mobilization began in April 2019 and was officialy opened November 2021.
  • Lake Rogers Park Improvements.  Phase 1 was completed in April 2019, and features a new main shelter area with enhanced pedestrian access and substantial landscape upgrades.   A new park sign monument was constructed in June 2019.  Phase 2 expanded opportunities to city-owned property located on the west side of Lake Rogers with construction of a boardwalk across the lake that will provide access to planned fishing platforms and 3200' of primitive walking trails. Phase 2 was completed in November 2019.

  • Creedmoor Memorial Park.  On July 6th, 2021 the City of Creedmoor Board of Commissioners approved the establishment of Creedmoor Memorial Park, honoring the contribution active, retired, and reserve members of the Armed Services have provided to our Country and Community. Creedmoor Memorial Park includes the 1.75 acres of city property adjacent to the Creedmoor Community Center (108 East Wilton Avenue); planning and development of this property is in the preliminary stages, proposed improvements include, but are not limited to, B.C. Roberts field rehabilitation, playground, shelter, gardens, and a multi-use community space.
