As summer approached, residents of the Lyon Street area in Creedmoor expressed concern and frustration about the increased street traffic and suspected drug sales within their neighborhood.  In response to these concerns, members of the Creedmoor Police Department, along with members of the North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement Division, began an undercover operation to identify and arrest suspected drug dealers in-and-around the Lyon Street area.

As a result of the two month long undercover operation, members of the Creedmoor Police Department, North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement Division, and Granville County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 101 Beverly Court, Creedmoor and conducted a suspect round up in the Lyon Street area on June 27, 2018.  A total of 11 suspects were arrested and 4 are still wanted, totaling 129 felony and 8 misdemeanor charges.  Additional state charges may be forthcoming and investigators are speaking with the U.S. Attorney’s Office to discuss possible federal charges.

“This operation is a direct result of the relationships being built within the community, the hard work of the CPD investigative staff (Lieutenant Ricky Cates and Detective Eugene Harris), and NCALE Agent Jack Cates.  An operation of this size with the number of subsequent arrests is only possible through the dedicated efforts of all involved as well as the multi-agency cooperation and assistance of the North Carolina Alcohol Enforcement Division and Granville County Sheriff’s Office.  Ninety-nine percent of Lyon Street residents are hard-working and amazing people; we will not allow the one percent criminal element to infringe upon this community’s safety, peace of mind, or happiness,” stated Creedmoor Police Chief Keith King.

Juvenile “D.D.", age 17, of Creedmoor, arrested for two counts of Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver a Schedule VI (Marijuana) Controlled Substance, two counts Sell and Deliver of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Conspiracy to Sell a Controlled Substance, Sell and Deliver a Controlled Substance within 1,000 feet of a School, Sell and Deliver a Controlled Substance within 1,000 feet of a Park, Manufacture Marijuana, Simple Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  The juvenile was placed in Granville County Jail under a $70,000 secured bond.

Juvenile “B.K.”, age 17, of Wake Forest, arrested for three counts of Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver a Schedule II (Cocaine) Controlled Substance, three counts Sell a Schedule II Controlled Substance, three counts Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Manufacture Cocaine, Conspiracy to Sell a Schedule VI (Marijuana) Controlled Substance, three counts of Maintaining a Vehicle for the Sale of Controlled Substance, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver a Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Sell a Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Deliver a Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Conspiracy to Sell a Schedule VI Controlled Substance and Manufacture Marijuana.  The juvenile was placed in Granville County Jail under a $180,000 secured bond.

Wayne Burton, age 56, of Creedmoor, arrested for Maintaining a Dwelling for the Sale and Delivery of Controlled Substances.  Mr. Burton was placed in Granville County Jail under a $40,000 secured bond.

Desmond Reed, age 19, of Creedmoor, arrested for Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver a Schedule VI (Marijuana) Controlled Substance, Sell and Deliver of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Conspiracy to Sell a Controlled Substance, Sell and Deliver a Controlled Substance within 1,000 feet of a School, Sell and Deliver a Controlled Substance within 1,000 feet of a Park, Manufacture Marijuana, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver a Schedule I (Ecstasy) Controlled Substance, Sell and Deliver of a Schedule I Controlled Substance and Manufacture a Schedule I Controlled Substance.  Mr. Reed was placed in Granville County Jail under a $120,000 secured bond.

Albert “A.J.” Webb, age 22, of Creedmoor, arrested for Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver a Schedule I (Ecstasy) Controlled Substance, Sell and Deliver of a Schedule I Controlled Substance, Manufacture a Schedule I Controlled Substance, Sell and Deliver a Controlled Substance within 1,000 feet of a School and Maintaining a Vehicle for the Sale of Controlled Substance.  Mr. Webb was placed in Granville County Jail under a $60,000 secured bond.

Joyce Ann Bullock, age 58, of Creedmoor, arrested for Possession with Intent to Sale and Deliver a Schedule VI (Marijuana) Substance, Maintaining a Dwelling for the Sale of a Controlled Substance, Sell and Deliver a Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Sell and Deliver a Controlled Substance within 1,000 feet of a School, Sell and Deliver a Controlled Substance within 1,000 feet of a Park, Possession of Alcohol and Sale Alcohol without a Permit, Possession of Non-Tax Paid Liquor and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Mrs. Bullock was placed in Granville County Jail under a $80,000 secured bond.

Michael Hester Jr., age 21, of Creedmoor, arrested for Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver a Schedule VI (Marijuana) Controlled Substance, Sell and Deliver of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Conspiracy to Sell and Deliver a Controlled Substance, Sell and Deliver a Controlled Substance within 1,000 feet of a School, Sell and Deliver a Controlled Substance within 1,000 feet of a Park and Manufacture Marijuana.  At the time of his arrest, Hester was also charged by the Granville County Sheriff’s Office for Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver a Schedule VI (Marijuana) Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Mr. Hester Jr. was placed in the Granville County Jail under a $60,000 secured bond.  Additionally, at the time of this arrest, Michael Hester Sr., age 47, of Creedmoor, was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office and charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and Possession of a Stolen Firearm.  Mr. Hester Sr. was placed in Granville County Jail under a $60,000 secured bond.

Montel Steed, age 26, of Creedmoor, arrested for three counts of Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver a Schedule VI (Marijuana) Controlled Substance, three counts of Sell and Deliver of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance, two counts of Conspiracy to Sell and Deliver a Controlled Substance, Maintaining a Dwelling for the Sale of Controlled Substance, three counts of Sell and Deliver a Controlled Substance within 1,000 feet of a Park and Manufacture Marijuana.  Mr. Steed was placed in the Granville County Jail under a $110,000 secured bond.

Charles Burt, age 64, of Creedmoor, arrested for Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver a Schedule VI (Marijuana) Controlled Substance, Sell and Deliver of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Conspiracy to Sell and Deliver a Controlled Substance, Sell and Deliver a Controlled Substance within 1,000 feet of a School, Sell and Deliver a Controlled Substance within 1,000 feet of a Park, Manufacture Marijuana and Sell Marijuana.  Mr. Burt was placed in the Granville County Jail under a $60,000 secured bond.

Ruth Allen, age 33, of Oxford, was charged on May 25, 2018 for Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance (Suboxone).  Mrs. Allen was issued a citation for the misdemeanor offense.

Marvin Blacknall, age 24, of Oxford, wanted for Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver a Schedule II (Cocaine) Controlled Substance, Sell and Deliver of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver a Schedule VI (Marijuana) Controlled Substance, Sell and Deliver of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance, two counts of Sell and Deliver a Controlled Substance within 1,000 feet of a School, two counts of Sell and Deliver a Controlled Substance within 1,000 feet of a Park, Manufacture Cocaine and Manufacture Marijuana.

Dashawn Singleton, age 18, of Creedmoor, wanted for Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver a Schedule VI (Marijuana) Controlled Substance and Sell and Deliver of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance.

Hammond Naj-Saleh Aleryani, age 46, of Creedmoor, wanted for Possession with Intent to Sale and Deliver a Schedule VI Controlled Substance and Maintaining a Dwelling for the Sale and Deliver of a Controlled Substance.
