Creedmoor Police Department Recognizes One of its Own

On Tuesday, February 1, 2022, Mayor Robert V. Wheeler along with Chief Keith E. King presented Detective Robert “Eugene” Harris with the department’s 2021 Silver Bullet Award. Each year the members of the police department nominate one of their own for this award. The award is based on teamwork and dedication to the department and community.

Detective Harris has built a reputation within the police department and the community of going above-and-beyond his normally assigned duties. Detective Harris serves as a Criminal Investigator, the agency evidence custodian, assistant program coordinator for Operation Medicine Drop and is known for mentoring and investing in younger officers. “Detective Harris demonstrates a great ability to be a well-balanced officer, teammate, and community liaison. The Silver Bullet Award is a testament to his dedication and perseverance,” stated Chief of Police Keith King. Detective Harris is a past recipient of this award in 2016 and 2017.
